Louise Gant Roy

CROWLEY – Funeral services for Mother Louise Gant Roy, 91, who died Friday at American Legion Hospital, will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Israelite Baptist Church. Viewing will be held from 8 a.m. until the time of services at Israelite Baptist Church.

Rev. Keith N. Matthews will officiate the service.

Burial will be held in West Crowley Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Isaac Roy of Breaux Bridge; a devoted nephew and niece, Early and Cheryl Ann Henry of Crowley; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Roy; one son, Wesley Roy, Sr.; her parents, O’Neal and Ollie Gant; six brothers, Phelo Gant, Hollis Gant, Albert “Guy” Gant, Isaac Gant, Lyn “Dee” Gant and Willie Gant; and one sister, Elme Gant Keller.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilturner Funeral Home of Crowley.
