Mamou’s academic accomplishments recognized

Mamou held its annual Academic Awards with a breakfast May 1, for high school students. Awards for students holding an A average in different courses were given, as well as honors for those who remained on the school’s banner, honor and merit rolls throughout the year. Winners of this year’s FFA/Forestry competition placed first in the parish, third in the tri-parish competition and fifth in Area III. The Meat Judging Team, who won first place at the parish competition, first place in the district competition and placed fourth in the Area III competition.
