Man wanted in Turkey Creek shooting back in parish

Leland Hamm, 42, has been transported back to Evangeline Parish after the wanted man was arrested in November in Oklahoma.
Hamm was wanted by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office after he became a suspect in a July 1st shooting in Turkey Creek that left a Shreveport man dead.
On Friday, it was confirmed that Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Deputies transported Hamm to the Evangeline Parish jail Thursday night.
Although, eight other individuals have also been arrested in connection with this crime, Hamm is believed to have been the shooter that killed Clifton Hallmark
At this time, no bond has been set for Hamm.
