Manufacturer buys acreage behind Martin Mills

St. Martinville — The Parish Council on March 11 approve the sale of three acres of land behind the former Martin Mills, now International Trade Center, to Miguez Sewerage Treatment, Inc.

The parcel is part of some 60 acres remaining in the parish-owned industrial park.

The company is not a sewage treatment facility but a manufacturer of parts for such facilities, says Beth Guidry, executive director of the St. Martin Economic Development Authority, or SMEDA.
