Marylyn Jones Manuel

CROWLEY - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Marylyn “Jan” Jones Manuel, 48, who died Friday, April 18, 2008 at 9 a.m. in Crowley.

“Jan” was a native of Monroe, LA and a longtime resident of Crowley. She was very active with Redemptorist Catholic as a volunteer for many school activities. She loved art and playing piano.

Fr. Buddy Breaux will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Sunday from 12 Noon to 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Eunice.

Survivors include her husband, Dwight Manuel of Crowley; two daughters, Erica Miller of Lafayette and Lindsey Miller of Crowley; one sister, Dana J. Collie of West Monroe; two brothers, David Jones and Mickey Jones, both of Dallas, Texas.

“Jan” was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson Jones, Jr. and Patricia Henderson Jones.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
