Milson group gathers for March family reunion

An afternoon family reunion held at the C.F. Ladd Masonic Lodge #48 on March 22 and 23, honored the Milson Clan.

Approximately 210 guests attended traveling from Arizona, Florida, California, Texas and various parts of Louisiana.

The hall was decorated with an array of brown and blue accents, including the shirts worn by family members.

On Saturday, March 22, guest were treated to a buffet of chicken fettucini, macaroni and ham salad, roast beef and ham sandwiches, drumettes, bar-b-que meatballs and sausage, taco dip and chips, boudin and cracklins, many different desserts, fruit trays and drinks.

Guest enjoyed boiled crawfish, baked ham, pork roast with rice and gravy, baked chicken, string beans, yams, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, bread, many desserts and drinks on Sunday, March 23.

Heading the reunion were committee members, Eva Milson, Beatrice Lambert, Windell Milson, Ollie Bias, Diane Milson, Carla Milson and Lora Lawrence.

Beatrice Lambert was presented with a corsage for being the oldest living family member.

A memorial was held honoring and remembering all of the deceased members of the family.

Family members unable to attend the reunion during time of photo were Lucinda Reed, Gloria Clarke, Ethel Milson and Mose Milson, Jr.

Entertainment was provided by D.J. Byron Rochon.

The Milson family’s next reunion is scheduled for April 11 and 12, of 2009.
