Missing VP man located

A man reported missing last week has been found, according to local authorities.

Lt. John B. “Chip” Matte, a detective with the Ville Platte Police Department said Glen Manuel’s brother reported him missing Friday, March 14. The last time they had seen Manuel was Wednesday, March 12, and they were worried because he has medical problems. They said he wasn’t taking his medicine.

“We had some tips, but nothing panned out,” Matte said. He was found Wednesday, March 19, when someone in Woodworth recognized him and contacted authorities. Manuel had been in the hospital in Alexandria and was released. Family members picked him up, and Matte said he is fine.
