Motorcycle deputies sworn in Tuesday

With the recent election of a new sheriff, Eddie Soileau, in Evangeline Parish, a group of men known as the motorcycle deputies had to be sworn in once again. Citizens often catch glimpses of these men riding in parades and funeral processions. Tuesday, March 25, these four men were sworn in at the Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court’s Office and received their new identification badges at the sheriff’s office.
