Mustang and Pony tournaments begin Friday

The Eunice Recreation Complex will host two baseball tournaments this weekend as the Mustang and Pony District tournaments begin Friday.
In the Mustang (9-10 age group) division, eight teams will compete as the the Eunice Nationals will take on the Crowley Americans at 6 p.m. Friday to open the tournament.
Iota will face St. Landry Youth Athletic Association Americans at 7:45 p.m. in the concluding Mustang contest of the day.
On Saturday, the Crowley Nationals will take on the SLYAAA Nationals at 11 a.m. followed by the Eunice Americans battling the Iota/SLYAA Americans winner at 12:45 p.m.
The Crowley Americans/Eunice Nationals loser will take on the Crowley Nationals/SLYAA Nationals loser at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Crowley Americans/Eunice Nationals winner will take on the Crowley Nationals/SLYAA Nationals winner at 4:15 p.m.
There are four Mustang games set for Sunday with a winner’s bracket semifinal at 2:30 p.m. and loser’s bracket contests at 11 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.
The Mustangs loser’s bracket final will be held Monday at 6 p.m. followed by the title game at 7:45 p.m.
The if necessary game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Four teams will compete in the Pony (13-14 age group) District Tournament that begins 6 p.m. Friday as Rayne faces Iowa.
Eunice will entertain Westlake at 8 p.m. in the concluding Pony contest of the night.
The two losing teams will square off at 4 p.m. Satuday in an elimination contest. The two winners will battle at 6 p.m.
The loser’s bracket final will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, while the Pony District title game is set for 6 p.m. Monday.
The if necessary game will be held on Tuesday at an undetermined time.
