Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office searches for murder suspect

Evangeline Parish investigators are looking for a person who shot Ezequiel Soto, 31, south of Mamou Saturday afternoon.
Soto, who was identified by his fiancee, was shot one time at about 5 p.m. and a driver called authorities after seeing him on the side of Reeton School Road, east of Highway 13. Investigators said Soto died later at a hospital
Investigators were searching for a suspect they would not identify. People who have any information about the shooting should call the sheriff’s office at 363-2161.
