VPHS students observe Arbor Day by sprucing up campus

The seventh and eighth grade students, under the direction of Lana Deville and Erica Landreneau, helped to beautify Ville Platte High’s campus during Arbor Day. The seventh graders planted Crepe Myrtle trees along the horseshoe drive while the eighth graders renewed the flowerbeds around the school sign and flagpole. Throughout the day, each class did their part to add more to the project. The final result of the students’ work and effort yielded new life and color to the school campus. A special thanks goes out to the Ville Platte Wal-Mart and A.R.C. for donating a few of the flowering trees.
