Narcotics found at Pear residence

After conducting a search at the residence of David Glynn Sylvester, 55, 202 Pear Lane, Ville Platte, authorities located cocaine residue and marijuana.

Captain Keith Dupre, chief of detectives for the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, said he received information suggesting illegal narcotics were at the residence on Pear Lane. Authorities were able to search the residence and located packages, which tested positive for cocaine, along with straws and marijuana.

As a result of this investigation, Sylvester was taken into custody and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. Dupre said the investigation is continuing.
