Lady Bobcats, Lady Jays head All-Parish softball

Seven Eunice softball players were named to the 2008 First Team All-St. Landry Parish team.
Eunice High head coach Scott Deshotel was named the Coach of the Year, while four Lady Bobcats and three St. Edmund players landed on the All-Parish squad, selected by the parish softball coaches.
Deshotel directed the Lady Bobcats to a 16-9-2 record, a second-round appearance in the Class 4-A playoffs and the 2008 Parish softball tournament title.
First-team pitchers included St. Ed’s Leah Andrus (16-11-1, 154 K, 44 BB, 1.75 ERA) and Eunice High’s Jori Lejeune (11-7-1, 119K, 22 BB, 1.78 ERA).
Lady Jay Ashlyn Daville (.309 BA, 16 RS, 5 RBI) was named first-team third baseman, while Lady Cat Blaire Fusilier (.432 BA, 1 HR, 12 RBI) was selected as first -team short stop.
Eunice’s Camille Faul (.413 BA, 7 RBI) was named to the first-team outfield, while St. Ed’s Caroline Aguillard (.304 BA, 10 RS) and Lady Cat Brittany Fall (.411 BA, 7 RBI) were selected as utility players.
Second Team selections included Eunice pitcher Andrea Kramer, St. Eds shortstop Mollie Brown, Lady Jay outfielder Paige Guillory, along with utility players Amber Darbonne (EHS) and Ann-Marie Himel (St. Eds).
