Ville Platte police investigate Sunday morning shooting
In the early morning hours of December 1, 2013, officers with the Ville Platte Police Department responded to a shooting call in the 1200 block of Martin Luther King Drive, Ville Platte.
Upon arrival, officers found one person shot multiple times. They called for medical assistance and Acadian Ambulance was dispatched to the residence. Medical treatment was administered, but the male suspect did not survive the shooting. Malcolm Wilson, 25, 1331 Fruge St., Ville Platte was pronounced dead at the scene from apparent gun shot wounds. There has been no word on the suspect at this time.
The Ville Platte Police Department will submit their evidence and case information to the Evangeline Parish district attorney’s office for grand jury review.
