Mary Berzas Manuel

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Mary Berzas Manuel, 85, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 2 p.m., Friday, November 29. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Ms. Manuel died Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie.
Survivors include two children, Nora Monk and her husband, Freddie, of Oakdale and Michael Manuel and his wife, Brenda, of Vidrine; four grandchildren, Karen Maricle and her husband, Justin, of Oakdale, Shane Manuel and his wife, Becky, of Moss Bluff and Tori Mire and her husband, Marty, and Casey Manuel, all of Vidrine; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily Maricle, Shelbie and Conner Manuel and Jordyn and Bailey Mire; and one sister, Uline Reed of Eunice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thompson and Edith West Berzas; and her two husbands, Gladney Manuel and Vorice Manuel.
Father Darren Eldrige officiated.
