Turkey Creek Council applies for community center funding

TURKEY CREEK - With the December 13, deadline fast approaching, The Turkey Creek Village Council, during a special meeting held Tuesday, December 3, voted to apply for a $25,000 LGAP (Local Government Assistance Program) grant. If approved, the monies would be utilized for the concrete paving of a horseshoe driveway at the Turkey Creek Community Center.
The council then voted to move the next regular meeting from Tuesday, December 17, to Monday, December 16. The meeting will be held at the community center instead of the village hall in order for the council to have a small holiday gathering afterward.
Before adjourning, the council also adopted a resolution approving the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire completed by the mayor and council.
