Sixth-ranked Livonia visits Pine Prairie
After putting up a very strong performance last week against Northwest High School, things are not getting any easier for the Pine Prairie Panthers. The sixth ranked team in Class 3A is coming to town to face the Panthers. Livonia is coming off of a 50-25 win over Ville Platte High last week. LHS is rolling towards a big district showdown with Church Point in week 10.
The Panthers showed a lot of poise and fight last week against the Raiders. They even held the lead for a period. Sophomore quarterback Dylan Doucet threw over 200 yards in the air, one of the most impressive offensive performances in the district thus far this year.
Livonia scored in every phase of the game last week. From defense to offense to special teams, the Wildcats came out strong. Fans of PPHS shouldn’t expect any less this week, as the Wildcats are on a mission.
Livonia came up short last year in the playoffs. They lost in the semi-finals to eventual state champion Parkview Baptists. Since then, Livonia has played with an attitude and their opponents have paid for it.
The LHS football is 8-0 and looking to remain perfect as they come to Evangeline Parish for their second straight time.
The Panthers will have a very tough fight on their hands tomorrow night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
