Heritage Manor News: Annual goal setting
As a department manager, it is a goal to set the direction of the department. 2014 is a year to begin to offer personalized opportunities for growth and purpose that reflect the changing needs of the residents. January is the perfect month for organization. Papers are kept almost like a professional memoir. But they do begin to collect and can begin to be overwhelming. Calendars, schedules, programs, participation records and resident council meeting minutes need to be retained for 12 to 15 months in case of a state or federal survey. It is important for you to be able to put your hands immediately on the records requested. Organized and timely records can yield professional confidence and personal peace of mind. Cleanliness and space can be energizing and motivating. Clear desk, clear mind.
Leslie Ortego is the Employee of the Month for January, and Riley Gallow is Resident of the Month.
Activities this week include service by St. John’s Baptist Church, resident birthday party, VFW barbecue, bingo sponsored by Epsilon Sigma Chapter 7869, social reading, group therapy, in-room visits, bedside manicures, pokeno, bag toss, mass by Sacred Heart and bingo sponsored by the VVA.
