MAMOU - Funeral services will be held for Lionel T. Ardoin, 78, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 9. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Mr. Ardoin died Monday, January 6, 2014, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
Survivors include two children, Patrick Chapman and his wife, Stephanie, and Franella “Faye” Chapman, all of Ville Platte; five grandchildren, Monica, Andre, Greg, Fonda and Kylie; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Guillory Ardoin; his parents, Tansey and Teah Dupre Ardoin; four brothers, Calvin, J.C., Leander and Sherald Ardoin; three sisters, Hazel LeDoux, Verlie LaFleur and Elsie Mae Ardoin; and one grandchild, Brice.
Father Alphonse Thainese will officiate.
