TATE COVE - Funeral services were held for Shirley Deville Fontenot, 68, of Ville Platte, at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 15. Burial followed in the Fontenot Cemetery in Tate Cove.
Ms. Fontenot died Monday, January 13, 2014, at her residence.
Survivors include two sons, Chad Eric Fontenot and his wife, Yvette, and Shawn Michael Fontenot, all of Ville Platte; one daughter, Michelle Ardoin and her husband, Randall, of Ville Platte; two brothers, Michael Deville of Ville Platte and Allen Roy Deville of Rayne; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gassay and Clerdie Huval Deville; and one sister, Judy Deville Smith.
Father Brian Harrington officiated.
