Funeral services will be held for Johnell Charles, 57, of Ville Platte, at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 15. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Charles died Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Survivors include one brother, Eddie Charles (Deborah) of Ville Platte; a twin sister, Gerrell Charles of Eunice; a special friend, Larry Charles of Ville Platte; an aunt, Indiana Greene (Guffie) of Ville Platte; an uncle, Willie Pitre (Evelina) of Lake Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Charles and Mable Ceaser Charles; and seven brothers.
Visiting hours will be observed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, February 15, at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte.
Pastor Darwan Lazard officiated.
