Genevieve Bourque Carroll

Funeral services will be held for Genevieve Bourque Carroll, 65, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Friday, March 21. Burial will follow in the Verrett-Godeaux Cemetery.
A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Ms. Carroll died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.
Survivors include one daughter, Crystal Carroll of Sulphur; and one step-son, Brian Carroll and his wife, Melanie, of Opelousas. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Destinee Kamareddine, Brice Kamareddine, Chelsea Carroll and Sloane Carroll. They were the absolute light of her life. She also leaves behind three brothers, Ray Bourque and his wife, Becky, of Church Point, Carson Joubert and his wife, Cynthia, of Plaisance and Carl Joubert of Ville Platte; and two sisters, Shirley Borland of Lafayette and Brenda Vidrine and her husband, Mike, of Ville Platte. Her memory will surely be carried on by her numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. She meant so much to so many.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wilbur Bourque and Beverly Dupre Bourque Joubert; her step-father, Willie Joubert; and three siblings, J.C. Joubert, Katherine Bourque and Debbie Joubert.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 20, and will continue until 10 p.m. this evening. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m., Friday, March 21, and continue until the time of the service. A Rosary will be recited in her honor at 6 p.m. Thursday evening.
Deacon Eugene LeBoeuf will officiate.
