Panthers maintain perfect league record with recent win
The Panthers of Pine Prairie (13-5, 4-0) maintained their perfect league record with a 14-4 win over the Lady Bears of Church Point. The win coupled with wins over Northwest and Ville Platte High have the Lady Panthers in first place in District 5-3A.
PPHS scored six runs in the first inning, five runs in the second inning and three in the fourth inning to take the win via the 10-run mercy rule.
Macey Harvey was 2-4 at the plate with a pair of doubles and she scored twice. Sara Tate also doubled in the game.
In the circle, Alyssa Jackson took the win. She went all five innings for PPHS. The senior recorded her fourth district win.
Pine Prairie will host Livonia today to end the first half of their district schedule.
