Genita Lafleur

Funeral services will be held for Genita Lafleur, 83, of Ville Platte, at Antioch Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 26. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. Lafleur died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas.
Survivors include four daughters, Carlene Ardoin and Janice Bias, both of Ville Platte, Sabia Butler of Austin, Texas, and Clara Ratcliff of Port Arthur, Texas; three sons, Clement Lafleur Jr. of Ville Platte, Ronald Lafleur of Port Arthur, Texas, and John Lafleur of Baton Rouge; five sisters, Lilly Pearl Richard of Crowley, Judy Harrison of Madesto, California, Pam Dean and Louisiana Prescott, both of Sacremento, California, and Sharon Hill of Monroe; three brothers, Lloyd Fontenot of Chatainger, Bobby Frank of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and Kerry Frank of Shoreview, Minnesota; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Clement Lafleur Sr.; her parents, Wirvely Pitre Frank and Simon Fontenot; and one brother, Leander Frank Sr.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, at Antioch Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Rev. Eradley Ben Sr. will officiate.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte will be in charge of arrangements.
