Catholic Daughters hold monthly meeting

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Sacred Heart of Jesus Court #1674, held its monthly meeting on April 2, at the Sacred Heart meeting room with Regent Barbara Delafosse presiding. After the opening prayer and Pledge of Allegiance, the major topic for discussion was the court’s annual fund raiser, the salad-bingo.
Various committees for buying food, preparing food, setting tables, selling tickets, collecting tickets, collecting bingo and door prizes and making calls for the desserts were formed. The fund raiser will be held Wednesday, June 11, at the Northside Civic Center. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the meal will be served at 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 each and may be purchased from Delafosse or any Catholic Daughter court member. Tickets will be available for court members to pick up at the May 7, meeting. Tickets can be purchased until June 4. Money or unpurchased tickets must be returned at the June 4, meeting, one week before the event.
Extra bingo cards can be purchased for $1 each. Chances can be taken on a split pot, and three raffle baskets will be awarded.
