Clifford Duplechin

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Clifford Duplechin, 88, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 29. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Mausoleum.
Mr. Duplechin died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Nice Extended Care Hospital in Eunice. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Veteran of Foreign Wars for over 50 years. He was a former member of the Mamou Rotary and American Legion Post 123. He was a member of Woodman of the World and an usher at St. Ann’s Catholic Church for many years; He also was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department in Mamou for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Luther Duplechin and his wife, Jennifer, of Lafayette and Bob Duplechin and his wife, Gail, of Mamou; one daughter, Christine Duplechin of Mamou; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertie Mae Bass Duplechin; his parents, Elvere and Marie Duplechin; three brothers; and one sister.
