SHHS Tennis getting hot at the right time

The Sacred Heart tennis unit is getting hot at the right time and the results are showing. The Sacred Heart Trojans sent five tennis teams to the state match last week at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
In order to qualify for the state tournament, the Trojan tennis team had to compete in the Division IV Region II Holy Savior Menard Regional Tournament held in Alexandria, Louisiana on April 23, and April 24.
Overall, the Sacred Heart Trojan tennis team placed second at the event. Collectively, the Trojan ladies placed second and the Trojan boys placed third in the tournament.
On an individual basis, Chris Vidrine and Grant Lee qualified for state in singles’ play.
The Trojan boys’ doubles team qualifiers are Andrew Dupre and Landon Fontenot. Two Trojan girls’ doubles teams qualified for state. They are Moira Parks and Catherine Poche and Morgan Manuel and Anne Christian Ardoin.
A special congratulations goes out to Morgan Manuel and Anne Christian Ardoin for winning first place in the Division IV Region II Girl’s Doubles Championship.
