PLAISANCE - Funeral services will be held for Ray William Israel, 62, of Prairie Ronde, at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Friday, May 9. Burial will follow in the St. Andrew Cemetery in Plaisance.
Mr. Israel died Monday, May 5, 2014, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Debra C. Israel of Prairie Ronde; two sons, Michael Bailey and William Bailey, both of South Carolina; two brothers, Wayne Wilson of Lake Charles and Danny Israel of Arkansas; four sisters, Brenda Wilson and Elaine Bova, both of Missouri, and Linda Israel and Annette Wilson, both of Arkansas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Goldie Clark Israel; his step-father, Ed Wilson; and one daughter, Amanda Ann Bailey.
Visitation will be held today, May 8, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m., and again Friday, May 9, from 8 a.m. until time of service.
