Joseph takes third at 3A State Track Meet

Ville Platte High School competed in the Class 3A State Track and Field Meet for the first time in nearly two decades. The VPHS track squad had been very dominant in Class 2A, but as a small school in 3A, they have run into some obstacles.
That did not stop Antoinette Joseph. She has competed in the High Jump for several seasons now for VPHS. She flourished and made her way to the Class 3A event at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track and Field Stadium.
Against her competitors in the High Jump, she placed third and earned her way to the stage.
Joseph was the lone representative for VPHS, but she did a great job. Congratulations goes out to Joseph.
