TURKEY CREEK - Funeral services will be held for Elsie Campbell, 92, of Ville Platte, at the Rush Funeral Home Chapel in Pine Prairie at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 24. Burial will follow in the Turkey Creek Cemetery.
Ms. Campbell died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Campbell and his wife, Phyllis, of Upper Pine Prairie; one son-in-law, Nolan Hazelton of the Crooked Creek Community; one brother, Roy Chapelle and his wife, Sharon, of Upper Pine Prairie; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Campbell; her parents, Ernest and Verda Chapelle; one daughter, Myrl Hazelton; one brother, Edwin Chapelle; and one sister, Evelyn Dutton.
