SLCC Coreil Campus has open house Friday for high school students

High school students throughout Evangeline Parish were invited to an open house at South Louisiana Community College’s C.B. Coreil Campus in Ville Platte Friday, May 23. The students were given classroom presentations about what they can expect at the school. They also had demonstrations of equipment used in the automotive, welding and nursing courses taught there. Carleen Jones, who has been campus administrator since late last year, said the open house is part of her emphasis on reaching out into the community, which also includes networking with schools, business and industry and local governments.
