Funeral services will be held for Brother Levan Thomas, 67, of Ville Platte, at Cornerstone International Ministries in Ville Platte at 12 noon, Saturday, June 7.
Brother Thomas died Wednesday, May 28, 2014. He was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Eradley Ben Sr. He later became a member of the Cornerstone International Ministries, under the leadership of his son-in-law, Apostle Sylvester Murphy and his daughter, Pastor Ursula Murphy.
Survivors include four daughters, Elder Charlotte Thomas, Pastor Ursula (Apostle Sylvester) Murphy and April (Deacon John) Jones, all of Mamou, and Tamorrow (Deacon Renaldo) Frank of Ville Platte; two step-sons, Curtis Frank of Ville Platte and Elder Albert (Mary) Frank of Carencro; one former son-in-law, Jeffrey Freeman of Lake Charles; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Aaron Thomas of Ville Platte and Houston (Annie) Thomas Jr. of Houston Texas; his Godmother, Agnes Frank; his mother-in-law, Pearl Frank; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Thomas Sr. and Melecia Tezeno Thomas; his wife, Dotray Frank; two sisters, Ella Mae Gallow and Verna Mae Thomas; and four brothers, Leroy Thomas, Alvin Thomas, Levin Thomas and Ivory Thomas.
Apostle Sylvester Murphy will officiate.
Braxton Funeral Home of Oberlin will be in charge of arrangements.
