CHATAIGNIER - Funeral services will be held for Leroy J. Olivier, 85, of L’anse Aux Pailles, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Chatagnier at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 5. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Olivier died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.
Survivors include his wife, Mercedese Rozas Olivier of L’anse Aux Pailles; four sons, Steve Olivier, Jude Olivier and his wife, Dana, and Jed Olivier, all of Baton Rouge, and Todd Olivier of Lafayette; two daughters, Lynn Olivier Fontenot and her husband, Tommy, and Patti Olivier Fontenot, all of Ville Platte; daughter-in-law, Dolores Olivier of L’anse Aux Pailles; twin sister, LeeEtta Thibodeaux of Church Point; sister, Betty Joseph; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Hilda Sattler Olivier; one son, Charles Craig Olivier; one daughter, Jennifer Olivier; and one granddaughter, Logan Fontenot.
