Armide Vidrine Soileau

Funeral services were held for Armide Vidrine Soileau, 91, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 10. Burial followed in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery.
A devoted mother, grandmother great-grandmother and friend, Ms. Soileau died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at her residence surrounded by members of her precious family.
Survivors include her beloved children, Robert M. “Bob” Soileau and his wife, Ella Mae, of Ville Platte, Oris J. “Joe” Soileau of Prairie Ronde, Janis Vidrine and her husband, James, of Bayou Chicot, Brenda G. Fuselier and her husband, Chris, of Tate Cove, Mary Ann Vidrine and her husband, Steve, of Belaire Cove; and daughter-in-law, Carol Soileau of New Orleans. Her legacy will be carried on through her 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. They were her greatest joy here on earth and the absolute light of her life. Precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of her nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her one and only true love, her husband, Orise Soileau; two of their children, Jimmy Soileau and Juanita Soileau; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Soileau; her dear parents, Ives and Leah Vidrine; and her siblings, Fredrick Vidrine, Herlin Vidrine and Berna Fontenot.
Father Jason Vidrine officiated.
