Enrollment open for new business degree programs at C.B. Coreil Campus

Enrollment in three new business degree programs is currently open at the C.B. Coreil Campus.
These include Associate of Science degrees in Business and Accounting, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration.
Students in these programs will acquire the knowledge and skills to apply management, marketing, and accounting concepts to improve operational performance and aid in decision-making skills. They will have the tools necessary to land an entry-level management position, to pursue further education with a business bachelor’s degree or to run a small business.
“These degree programs are new this fall to the C.B. Coreil campus,” said Carleen Jones, C.B. Coreil Campus coordinator. “We’re enrolling students now and encourage anyone who is interested in these programs to contact the campus or visit us.”
The college is also searching for instructors to teach these courses. Business instructors must have a master’s degree for these associate degree programs. In addition, adjuncts are needed to teach general education courses like English and math for the new Business programs; and an instructor for its Practical Nursing program.
“This is a great opportunity for residents of Evangeline Parish,” she said. “In two years or less, the programs can get students into fulfilling careers.”
Other programs offered at the C.B. Coreil campus include practical nursing, medical assistant, certified nurses assistant, automotive, and welding. A new cohort in welding will begin this Fall.
