Mr. Doucet, Miss Bias plan August nuptials

The engagement of Miss Gabrielle Ravon Latrese Bias to Mr. Jasper Jerome Doucet, the son of Shelton and Delores Doucet of Ville Platte, has been announced by her parents, Joseph and Loretta Bias of Ville Platte.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, August 23, 2014, during a 6 p.m. ceremony at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte.
Miss Bias, whose mother is the former Loretta Young of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of Edmonia Rose, the late Calvin Young, Jessie Moore and the late Lucinda Bias.
A 2008 graduate of Ville Platte High School, she received a degree in sociology from McNeese State University in Lake Charles. She is currently enrolled in the master’s program for school counseling.
Mr. Doucet’s mother is the former Delores Jones of Ville Platte. He is the grandson of the late Hilda Bellard, the late Ervin Arvie and the late Joe and Eunice Doucet.
A 2008 graduate of Ville Platte High School, he attended Remington College in Lafayette and is currently employed with the Sulphur Police Department.
