Second book in Swamp Kids series to publish in September

The author of the children’s book featuring the Swmp Kids, “The Missing Chord,” is releasing a second book, “TuTu’s Christmas on the Bayou” in September. Author Leif Pedersen of Slidell said the first book, released for printing last November, has sold more than 2,500 copies and that book is in its second printing of 2,000 books. That book identified the location of where the Swamp Kids live as being the mythical Bayou Bleu, near Mamou. Pedersen will be in the parish to sign copies of the books later this year. The books will be sold at Susan’s on Court in Ville Platte and at Reed’s Pharmacy in Mamou. Pedersen said he plans to publish more books in the series, The Adventure of the Swamp Kids.
