Authors sign Evangeline book at city hall

Authors Jane Vidrine, left, and Jean Kiesel were at city hall Friday to sign copies of their new pictorial book “Evangeline Parish,” that shows historical photographs of the parish. Vidrine, who lives in Belaire Cove, said people have gotten in touch with her to tell her about their memories or show her other photographs or artifacts from the parish’s past. She said people have asked them if they plan to publish a sequel. When asked what the answer to that question is, Kiesel, who lives in Lafayette, said, “We’re keeping our options open.”
