VPPD makes four more arrests in Fourth of July fight
Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue reported additional charges have been filed in a Fourth of July incident at the Martin Luther King Park (formerly Southside Park) that left one person with a stab wound to the arm.
The Ville Platte Police Department has charged four more people in the incident. As the investigation continued and more information and videos were shared with detectives, additional people were brought in for questioning and subsequently charged.
The following were charged with disturbing the peace by fighting:
•Carrie Fruge, 23, 723 South Dupre St., Ville Platte
•Deandre Dangerfield, 20, 1614 Amy St., Ville Platte
•Constance Spriggins, 21, 249 Lithcote Road, Ville Platte
•Makeisha Fruge, 22, 1114 Peach St., Ville Platte
All four have since posted their bond of $10,000 each. Bonds were issued by 13th Judicial District Judge John Larry Vidrine.
Lartigue reminds citizens to remember to check all windows and doors on homes, vehicles and buildings to make sure they are locked and secure to prevent thefts.
