EP 4-H’ers enjoy week at Camp Grant Walker

One hundred fourteen fourth through sixth grade Evangeline Parish 4-H’ers enjoyed a fun-filled week at Camp Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center near Pollock during the week of July 14 - 18. The campers enjoyed participating in one of the following morning tracks: Outdoor Adventures; Food and Fitness; Dramatic Arts; Explore Louisiana: Wetlands; SET...Science, Engineering and Technology; or Hunter’s Safety. The afternoons and evenings were filled with recreation and free time activities, including swimming, arts and crafts, water sports, archery, canoeing, kayaking, line dancing, tubing and indoor games.
Jr. counselors assisting at camp were Camille Bergeron, Tre’ Fontenot, Baylee Guillory, Laura Manuel and Wyatt Savant from Sacred Heart High, Daniel Fontenot from Ville Platte High and Heather Odom from Pine Prairie High. Adult volunteer leaders were James Barnes, Vickie Bergeron and Angie Fusilier and Evangeline Parish Extension Agents Todd Fontenot and Tina Guillory.
