Tournoi Youth and Miss pageants to be held September 13 at Northside Civic Center

The Louisiana Tournoi Youth Pageant will be held Saturday, September 13, at the Northside Civic Center beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Entry fee is $40, which includes the photogenic category. All contestants must submit a 5x7 photo with their entry form. Door entries will be accepted 30 minutes prior to start of division with a $10 late fee added.
Attire is Sunday best for children ages zero to 11 years. This is a natural beauty pageant and no pageant wear, excessive make-up or “big hair” will be accepted.
Divisions are as follows (age by date of pageant, no changing of divisions will be allowed):
Baby Tournoi Queen and Knight: Ages zero-12 months, 8:30 a.m.
Tiny Toddler Tournoi Queen and Knight: Ages 13-23 months, 9 a.m.
Toddler Tournoi Queen: Ages two-three years, 9:30 a.m.
Tiny Tournoi Queen: Ages four-five years, 10 a.m.
Petite Tournoi Queen: Ages six--seven years, 10:30 a.m.
Little Tournoi Queen: Ages eight-nine years, 11 a.m.
Deb Tournoi Queen: Ages 10-11 years, 11:30 a.m.
An official photographer will be on site. All winners must have their official photo taken after winners are announced. This year’s photographer is Deb’s Prints and packages will be available for purchase.
Admission is $5 per person for ages five and older and $1 for children under the age of five.

The Louisiana Tournoi Queen’s Pageant will be held Saturday, September 13, at the Northside Civic Center beginning at 7 p.m.
Entry fee is $75, which includes the photogenic category. All contestants must submit a 5x7 photo with their entry form. Door entries will be accepted 30 minutes prior to interview with a $10 late fee added.
The interview portion of the contest (worth 60 percent of the score) will begin at 2 p.m. Attire for interview is dress suit for Teen and Miss divisions. Sunday best is acceptable only for the Junior division.
The evening gown portion of the contest (worth 40 percent of the score) will begin at 7 p.m.
Divisions are as follows (age by date of pageant):
Junior Tournoi Queen: Ages 12-13.
Teen Tournoi Queen: Ages 14-16.
Louisiana Tournoi Queen: Ages 17-23 (must not be older than 23 by January 1, 2014).
Contestants competing for the titles must be single, never have been married or pregnant and given birth. Contestants must be of good moral character and never have been convicted of a felony. Queens may not hold any other titles during their Tournoi reign. The queens will be required to sign a “Queen’s agreement” the night of the pageant, which is a binding contract.
