Gwendolyn Fontenot Guillory

A memorial service will be held for Gwendolyn Fontenot Guillory, 71, of Covington, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 1 p.m., Friday, August 22.
Ms. Guillory died Sunday, August 3, 2014. She served as an educator in St. Bernard Parish for more than 30 years, retiring as principal at Lacoste Elementary. She was born and raised in Ville Platte, Louisiana, and was proud of her Cajun heritage.
Survivors include one sister, Kathryn Fontenot Gambino; two sons, John Hampton Guillory and Joel Hunt Guillory; four grandchildren, Jodie Marina Guillory, Kaylin Susan Guillory, Lauren Gwendolyn Guillory and Jonathan Zeanas Guillory; and one great-grandchild, Joelle Josephine Guillory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Joel Fontenot and Ethel Hunt Fontenot; and one brother, Willis Wayne Fontenot.
Friends and family are invited to attend the memorial service.
