Dirt Cheap Store to open location in Ville Platte

Mississippi based Treasure Hunt will be expanding its Dirt Cheap Stores with its newest location coming to Ville Platte.
The old Wal-Mart building (1881 E. Main Street, Ville Platte) will be the site of the new Dirt Cheap Store. There is no word yet on the exact date the store will be open to the public, but the company’s website lists it as “coming soon” and the Ville Platte Chamber of Commerce expects the store to open sometime in September. The store is also expected to create approximately 30 jobs.
Treasure Hunt was founded in Hattiesburg, Mississippi 25 years ago, with the company opening its first Dirt Cheap Store in 1998 in Petal, Mississippi. Today, Treasure Hunt has 54 Dirt Cheap Stores in six states.
Dirt Cheap Stores receives its merchandise as a buyer of insurance claims, manufacturer and retailer buybacks, closeouts, bankruptcies, overstocks, liquidations, customer returns and out of season goods.
