Shirley Ann Wedlock Dupre

Funeral services were held for Shirley Ann Wedlock Dupre, 72, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Monday, September 15. Burial followed in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Ms. Dupre died Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to the happiness and well being of her family. Spending time with them and dear friends was her greatest joy.
Survivors include her two precious children, Paul Kent Dupre and Connie D. Blanchard and her husband, Rodney, all of Ville Platte. She was blessed with two grandchildren and further blessed with three great-grandchildren. They were the absolute light of her life. Her memory will be carried forward by her loving siblings, Willie Wedlock and his wife, Sandy, of Prairie Ronde, Evans Wedlock Jr. and his wife, Flo, of Eunice, Sam Wedlock of Nashville, Tennessee, Mary Alice Fontenot of Butte La Rose, Valle Dupre and her husband, Wayne, of Ville Platte, Rose Duren and her husband, Ray, of Eunice and Priscilla Fontenot and her husband, James, of Ville Platte. Her gracious spirit and quick smile will be fondly recalled by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her devoted husband, Lenis Joseph Dupre; her loving parents, Evans and Leonise L. Wedlock Sr.; and two brothers, Hubert Wedlock and Leas Wedlock.
