Mary Loretta Fontenot

Funeral services were held for Mary Loretta Fontenot, 86, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 1 p.m., Monday, September 22. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A loving mother and grandmother, Ms. Fontenot died Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Fontenot and her husband, Patrick, of Lake Charles and Kay Mayeux and her husband, John, of Ville Platte; four grandchildren, Troy Fontenot and his wife, Alicia, of Lake Charles, Robert Mayeux and his companion, Mary Beth Thigpen, of Lafayette, Christopher Mayeux and his wife, Kristie, of Ville Platte and David Mayeux of Sunset; and four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Tristan and Journey Mayeux and Hannah Fontenot.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alton Fontenot; her parents, Leo and Ola Joubert; her brother, Hosea Joubert; and her niece, Rita Joubert.
Father Brian Harrington officiated.
