Mr. Launey, Miss Jenkins united in holy matrimony

St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas provided the setting for a lovely 6 p.m. ceremony Saturday, July 26, 2014, uniting Miss Jessica Lauren Chaffie Jenkins and Mr. Bradley Andrew Launey in holy matrimony, with Rev. James Brady officiating.
The bride is the granddaughter of Freida Bordelon Mayeux of Opelousas. The groom is the son of Robert and Elaine Launey of Ville Platte.
The bride was given in marriage by her grandmother and the groom’s father.
Freida Bordelon Mayeaux served her granddaughter as matron of honor for the special occasion.
Bridesmaids were Laura Franz and Megan Martinez, both of Lafayette; Amanda Mills of Opelousas; Alaina Bischoff and Emily Ortego, both of Ville Platte; Caitie Paskewich and Cara Rizzo, both of New Orleans; and Katherine Terrel of Baton Rouge.
Robert Launey served his son as best man for the evening ceremony.
Groomsmen were Josh Ortego, Joff Fusilier, Julius Bischoff, Jacob Launey, Kyle McFarlain and Gene LaTour, all of Ville Platte; and Joey Ferris and Beau Fontenot, both of Covington.
Lia Grace Launey served as junior bridesmaid; and Wesley Launey served as junior groomsman.
Adeline Launey served as flower girl; and Wyatt Trahan and Julius Bischoff III served as ring bearers.
The groom’s mother selected a charcoal grey taffeta gown.
A reception followed at Toby’s Lounge and Reception Center in Opelousas.
