4-H Cotton Pickin’ Pet Show winners announced

The 4-H “Cotton Pickin’ Pet Show” was held on Wednesday, October 8, at the Ville Platte Civic Center. There were more than 80 pets entered in the show this year.
A congratulations goes out to all 4-H club members participating in this annual event.
The judges for the event were: Tracy Derouen, Brook Soileau, Ashley Clark, Vicki Guillory, Wendy Fontenot, Jennie Semien, and Laura Whittington of Evangeline Bank and Trust. Sarah Brunet, along with Beth Jones, Tami Courville, Lachanda Alfred and Jenny Ortego, coordinated the judges and organized treats for exhibitors and pets. They are all employees of the Evangeline Bank and Trust Company, which gave time from work to assist with Evangeline Parish 4-H Pet Show and donated supplies for this activity. They volunteered their time and efforts and did an excellent job. A special “thanks” to each of them.
The 4-H “Cotton Pickin Pet Show” is co-sponsored by the Cotton Festival Association, the Evangeline Bank and Trust Company and the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service, a branch of the LSU Agriculture Center.
