Impaired driver crashes into apartment

On November 21, after 12 a.m., the Ville Platte Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle collision at an apartment complex at 1111 North Chataignier Street in Ville Platte. When officers arrived, they saw a vehicle had left the roadway and crashed into the apartment building after striking two other vehicles. Luckily, there was only one person inside the apartment at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported.
Tavis Tezeno, 22, 614 E. Jackson St., Ville Platte, was arrested and booked into the Ville Platte City Jail on charges of careless operation, criminal damage to property and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Tezeno was later released on a $2,200 bond.
