Turkey Creek Council takes aim at sewer troubles plaguing village

TURKEY CREEK - The Turkey Creek Village Council, during the board’s November 25, regular meeting, discussed the ongoing water and sewerage issues plaguing the village. Adam Janet gave an update on the situation, noting that neither party contacted to do the work could do the work at the present time. As the work can no longer be put off, Janet asked to move on and look for a third party that could take on the project immediately. Janet also noted the old water system generator is back up and running for now, but he recommended the council look into replacing the outdated equipment.
In other business, the council:
•Adopted the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire resolution.
•Approved payment for Village Clerk Melissa Ferguson’s mileage.
•Approved the minutes of the October 21, regular meeting.
•Approved expenditures for the month of October.
•Approved utility adjustments.
