Estavia “Steve” McGee

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Estavia “Steve” McGee, 81, of Mamou, at St. Ann’ Catholic Church in Mamou at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 3. Burial followed in the Reed Cemetery in L’anse Meg.
A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Mr. McGee died Monday, December 1, 2014, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
Survivors include five children, Donald McGee and his wife, Christine, of Winder, Georgia, Gerald McGee and his wife, Lorie, of Raceland, Kenneth McGee and his wife, Martha, of Bufford, Georgia, Debra Girod and her husband, Douglas, of Olla and Sandra Naquin and her husband, Ricky, of Mamou; one brother, Lionel McGee and his wife, Winnie, of Ville Platte; one sister, Mary McGee Anderson of Reserve. He was further blessed with 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. They were the absolute light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; one sister; and two grandchildren, Dalton Wayne Meredith and Joshua Paul McGee.
